Subject: Quibble : "advocate" Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 10:27:20 -0800 To: From: Bob Armstrong A number of people have recommended your work to me . Following Jim Lesczynski's link back to your home page , I have just one quibble with your statement of principle . It can be read as saying that " A Libertarian believes ... no one has the right to advocate " ... . To me , a fundamental principle is that "sticks and stones may break my bones , but names will never hurt me" which I see as the notion underlying the 1st amendment clause . Advocacy is not force - tho politicians treat it as such . On the other hand , you don't mention Fraud , which I consider the moral equivalent of force .
