A real ^H is the backspace character. ;-) Doc files are such a PITA for me. I didn't get a chance to read it until now, on the MLP website...Oh, well--I love it! :-) Check out: http://ny.lp.org/activism/mermaid-parade/ It's nearly an 'evergreen' page now. Only have to change the= date on it each year. :-) (I've been trying to do more of those... http://ny.lp.org/activism/PrideFest/ http://ny.lp.org/activism/overgrow/ (a 4/20 page that I forgot to pull out again this year) etc.) Mermaid Parade: "Defending your Right to Keep and Bear Squirt Guns (and Bare= Yourself)" It's a little shorter of a formulation of Bob's "code" for what the Mermaid Militia defend. I was partying with the= Blue Sky crowd until 6 am Sun after meeting/dinner w/the three of you Sat evening....Geez, after 1am, you just have to wait until the= Metro- North trains start running again! ;-> Then Father's Day, then ICE= AGE CHECK #2 ARRIVED AND GOT DEPOSITED Day :-) (Monday), followed by= a nice lunch in Tibbets Park (White Plains) with Blue Sky folks,= followed by picking out the Koi Father's Day present with Dad and= Mom at a really cool backyard, outdoor, amazingly landscaped Koi= farm in Fishkill Plains...and finally I'm back home (the= Sherburne apt.) and online. SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK! That's what they taught= us in college. Haha. Yup, caffeine again--I fell off the wagon. I just shouldn't be around other people when I "Do the Dew." ;-) On Sun, Jun 15, 2003 at 12:23:11AM -0700, James Lesczynski= wrote: > I read Joseph's and Thomas's flyers. I would like James= Eisert to add Joseph's copy to the "issues" section of our= Manhattan LP website. Haven't read either yet... I like both of your suggestions, tho--I'm assuming I'll agree= with your judgement. COINCIDENTALLY, we were going through old photo albums Sunday at G'ma and= G'pa's, and I found two pictures of Grandma and her girlfriends 60 YEARS= AGO (1943) at Coney Island! I scanned them in, and put them on the= page for decoration--just like I have stamps of Paine and Rand on the= "Essays" page on the site. Here you go--"done" except for the costume info and flyers, I= guess: http://ny.lp.org/activism/mermaid-parade/ Feel free to link to it/promote it. It links to the MLP press release and lots of other stuff. Also, we need to work on chants! Any ideas, esp. of the "Sound-Off" variety, or a rewrite of "Caissons?" (= http://sniff.numachi.com/~rickheit/dtrad/pages/tiCAISONS;ttCAISO= NS.html ) :-) OK, finally time to sleep a bit. :-) Make sure Mermaid is in the subject of your responses, so I can filter for the notes easily-- my mailbox is OUT OF CONTROL! Thanks, Bonnie
