 I met Hutchinson at an  event at Fordham , 20020423 . I seemed=
 to 
 shake that glaze for a moment by commending him for his stand
 against Clinton's perjury ( causing him to light up for a moment=
 )
 then continuing that I was the Manhattan Libertarian DAD , and
 asking what the hell gave him the moral superiority to make me=
 a
 criminal for being a pot head . 
 He sort of vibrated for a moment trying to assimilate the=
 cognitive
 dissonance . 

 Then he reassembled his emotionless administrative mask and made=
 some
 unmemorable response .

 Bottom line , he struck me as simply in it for the job - he had=
 lost
 his elected position so he got the patronage position . He had=
 no
 deeper thoughts or feelings about it than making a living for=
 himself
 and his family by doing his assigned task well .
