 I would say rather that "liberals" define themselves as being so=
 superiorly
 compassionate that they must use force to enforce compassion=
 among the
 less humane . "Compassion" is their schtick . Phrases like=
 "fiscally
 responsible liberal" are more the complement .

 "Compassionate conservative" Bushwacko has been exploding=
 government control
 of our choices and resources much faster than Billy C whose=
 reduction in
 the welfare bureaucracy and relative "fiscal responsibility"=
 helped spur
 a period of remarkable prosperity .
