Neil deGrasse Tyson is a perfect example . He has a background in
physics but supports the anti-science global statist AlGoreWarming anti-life at the molecular level spectral GHG paradigm .
The
useful falsehood literally omits with prejudice , in contempt even of
Conservation of Energy , Newton's 333 year old universal Law of Gravity
which explains why and by how much bottoms of atmospheres are hotter
than their radiative equilibrium with the Sun and rest of the celestial
sphere : the endlessly parroted 33c for Earth , > 400c for Venus .
It's the mass of atmospheres , not their spectrum which balances , not traps , the extra heat .
And
for this they demonize CO2 which joined to a molar equal amount of H2O
by solar energy makes up > 90% the dry mass of every living thing you
see and every bite of food you eat . And life has been so
spectacularly successful it has turned the Earth's original ~ ( 30% CO2 ,
0% O2 ) atmosphere down to just a couple of times the minimum required
for life ~ ( 0.04% CO2 , 21% O2 ) burying the carbon underfoot in
limestone , coal and petroleum .
The greening of the planet due to an extra 0.01% over our lifetimes is awesome .
It is inexcusable for any physics PhD to fail to be able to work these facts out for themselves .

It denies by omission Newton's 333 year old Universal Law of Gravity , and thereby denies even Conservation of Energy .
The spectral GHG spectral " heat trapping " is the most destructive
incompetent trivially false paradigm in the modern history of science .
That is why in decades NO testable QUANTITATIVE fundamental enabling
equations , nor experimental demonstration of the asserted effect have
ever been presented .
Everyone connected with this page should be fired for incompetence and
malfeasance . The damage that has been done to the teaching of physics
, beyond that to society as a whole , is criminal .
